Les I enjoyed this story--the first one by this author that I can remember reading. The story line and the writing style reminded me of the novels written by Zane Grey. Not too surprising since this author and Mr. Grey were contemporaries. The hero has ideals of the highest order, the issues are black and white and the writing is very descriptive, although somewhat stilted. Charles Alden Seltzer was one of 20th century America's most prolific authors, and his specialty was Westerns that were so popular in the country in the decades after the frontier had been completely settled. In addition to the books he wrote, Seltzer would have a role in dozens of films as well, making him one of the most instrumental figures in the genre.
Good Classic Western. Les I enjoyed this story--the first one by this author that I can remember reading. The story line and the writing style reminded me of the novels written by Zane Grey. If you enjoyed the works of Zane Grey, you will probably like this story. As for me, I plan to read more of the books by this author.. very fun! Erich and Elizabeth A very nice and captivating story. The hero is very much of a hero--and manages to keep the peace and do justice without using his revolver. I liked it a lot.. Four Stars enjoyed it.
