Not worth it V. Vankooten This book isn't badbut then, it isn't great, either. The biggest problem I had with it is that you can't find most of these places; the stories are phrased as, "In a northeast town long ago" or "a house north of Decorah"If you're just sitting down for an enjoyable read, it will do. If you want to actually find these places, go with The Iowa Road Guide to Haunted Locations by Chad Lewis. It gives explicit directions to each site.. Lindsey Lu said This book is great!. I live right around the area that all these stories took place. I actually lived in one of the towns that a storie took place. I absolutly loved this book. It was writen very well, and the stories were very.um whats the word? cool? It will work.I suggest that you read this book. I really enjoyed it. And I think that all of you will too.. "Given as a gift" according to M L. My mother's favorite time of the year is Autumn, and every year she brings out her collection of books on haunted places from around the US. Her favorite, obviously, are the few books pertaining to haunted places in Iowa. She told be she misplaced the book and the local library doesn't seem to have a copy available. She is oldfashioned in the sense that she does not enjoy reading anything from a computer screen so I hope she enjoys her new copy of a book.
