Albert Payson Terhune remains one of my favorite authors, 20+ years after I originally read his books. His writing doesn't fail to transport the reader to his farm in New Jersey, and instills his love of dogs, especially the collie upon all who read and listen. Although his books may contain some slight violence, I have no hesitation reading his works to my three year old. His love for his dogs is easily understood, and his descriptions reflect the deep bond between dog and master. My daughter loves his works and looks forward to reading more of his stories each night. I would recommend this book to any reader, no matter their . "Five Stars" according to Amazon Customer. I good story which is well written and includes history, suspense, love and laughter.
