I really learned a lot about the Constitution as it was originally intended even though I have a very thorough study of the constitution while in law school. I also learned a lot about the Tea Party. I strongly suggest this book to everyone: 1) if you are a Tea Partier or Libertarian to see what the Constitution meant in the Founder's mind, 2) if you are a Republican or Democrat to find how the other. Awesome Accomplishment CG in Colo The best excuse for not reading the Constitution is perhaps that it is so damn hard to navigate and understand.That excuse is removed by the publication of this important and useful book. It is very well done. It is a scholarly "translation" of the constitution into today's language. It is an invaluable reconciliation of all the parts that are changed or made obsolete by subsequent amendments; and a line-by-line cross reference to the original language.This is the only way to read the Consti. The book legitimately translates the working in the Constitution from "legalese" (some over two hundred years old) into plain English.
