I chose 'The Fall of the House of Usher' for its classic Gothic images and its dark, melancholic central characters, including the house itself. This means that it looks like it belongs in the study or library of an English Gentleman. Even as a used book in good condition, this makes a really classy gift - even if that gift is for you (as mine was)..
