I really enjoyed reading this story. It heals my interest well. I had stopped reading westerners for a while because I couldn't find any that were worth getting past the first chapter. Dan Arnold not only kept my interest in the story but kept it with his bible references and quotes. I usually don't consider buying too many books but would definitely do so in this case. If you like westerners this one has all the excitement and expectation of a Louis La'mour western, of which l have read most, if not all of his, wes. Cynthia Nickerson said Real Western, real people. The protagonist is a real lawman after the Civil War. He shoots, he bleeds and he's a Christian. I enjoyed the journey and the people. This is the real West with some good, some bad, politics and brothels. As a descendant of a true east Texas sheriff, I enjoyed the book very much.. great read! James Kirk I read this book because it was recommended by Amazon. I couldn't put it down. I loved the way the author brought in Christian beliefs.the timing and placement of these instances was right on! I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series
