IMPORTANT News for Charles G West Fans - His Last Novel for Signet Westerns Kenneth Rubin When I was at my local Chapters Boookstore on Friday, I picked up an advance copy of Slater's Way, immediately I checked the back of the book to see a preview of the next Book coming out and instead there was an excerpt of 'Wrath Of The Savage' which had already been published over a year ago. So then I went to check Amazon to see when the next Charles G West book was coming out - there were no new books listed. So I sent him an email by getting onto his site at charlesgwest.com.Hello Mr. WestIt's one of your favorite fans. Kenneth Rubin from AMAZON reviewsJust picked up a copy of your latest book. Another good Charles West adventure. Mac Blair Have read many Charles West books and they have all been good. This one is no exception. I won't go into detail about the story line as others have already done so. I will say that if you like to read about mountain men this is an excellent read. Trappers, scouts, Indian fighters, always with an eye on the next mountain or valley to see or cross. They lived a hard life but a life they enjoyed. Mr. West writes so you can feel like you are there, that you can see the mountains, think like Slater and know what he is doing. A very good western, mountain man book.. Mr. West--one of the best. Mr. West's story line in Slater's Way follows closely with that of his Hawk series, i.e., a young boy left to fend for himself, grows to manhood strong and very capable, and unbeatable in hand-to-hand combat with all comers. The ending, again, follows the line of the Hawk series wherein Slater finally gains the life he had always needed--it is this facet of Mr. West's stories that always brings me back for more. Slater's Way is a very good read for those of us who treasure our westerns.
