Of course, with a collection this big (blurb says "most complete collection of zombie stories ever published) there are hits and there are misses. The most valuable thing I got from this book was an introduction to the work of Hugh B. Cave. Cave is a writer I have never come across before. After reading his "Mission to Margal" in this coll. There was a few stories I enjoyed. I did not really care for this book. There was a few stories I enjoyed.. D. Mcintosh said Zombies, etc. Otto Penzler, who also edited the previous books "The Big Book of Ghost Stories" and "The Vampire Archives", has done another fine job, collecting zombie tales from various authors. Zombies have always been the Rodney Dangerfield of the supernatural world, and didn't begin earning respect until their cinematic debutFrom the first published zombie story, Seabrooks's "Dead Men Working in Cane Fields" in 19"Zombies, etc" according to D.
