"Four Stars" according to J Arlock. A nice little romp. Fun, easy read with a fresh take on the necromantic experience.. What a fun read! This was a wonderful surprise. The characters are funny, irreverent, and more complex than you'd expect for something so funny.For some reason I'm a sucker for oddball western themed books (I also loved the Unicorn Western series/Truant & Platt). This book combines zombies (another favorite of mine), necromancer/wizards, Frankenstein-esque "patchwork people" and pure evil to achieve a kind of steam punk western.The overall plot is a bit serious - soul rot plague spread by an abomination - but the comedic elements keep it moving along at a fast clip and keep things from becoming too dark.
