"the writing is very fine, and the references to Providence are delightful for" according to W. H. Pugmire, Esq.. This trade pd edition is a vast improvement on the hardcover first edition in that it has corrected the many typographical errors of that initial edition (I think Ms. Kiernan's story had 16 misprints originally). The editor still complains that Titan Books has stupidly marred the book's original title by adding "of Cthulhu"--which is rather misleading, since one of the editorial "points" is that the series will strive NOT to publish Cthulhu Mythos stories. As it says beneath the title, these are stories of "Lovecraftian horror". Writes the editor in his Introduction: "It is safe to say that we h. Black Wings of Cthulhu 3 Several of the leading authors of Lovecraftian literature contributed to this volume and S.T. Joshi has done a good job in offering an interesting variety of stories within the genre.. LORD MEGATRON said MORE TALES OF THE BIZARRE IT IS. Hello, this collection a was a hit or miss kinda thing. The good stories were really, really good. The bad stories were an exact replica in reverse. Thankfully, the good ones held the majority. Thanks.
