"I liked the book very much and can't wait until he" according to Sharon . Allen. I liked the book very much and can't wait until he publishes more of his westerns! Anyone who likes a good western would very much enjoy Mr. West's books!. "As good as it gets! Best I've read in a very long time!" according to Norm Beavers. If my memory is working right, this is the best Western I've read all year, and maybe longer.I always thought Charles West was an average writer, comparing him to L'Amour, Brand, Johnstone, Short, and many writers from the 1950's.But his last few stories have been very entertaining and far better than those of the Johnstone Family's "selected" artists, Cotton, Brandvold (Leslie), and others.I seldom write good reviews, but lately five-star Westerns are rare, so I highly recommend this to those who remember the good old days! One good plot! Good characters! Reasonable action! Fewer pages and hardly any filler!Norm. Charles G West - A True Gentleman Kenneth Rubin Charles G West is a true gentleman and actually writes his own books, unlike some other western writers whose names are used for a bunch of anonymous writers ( I.E. - William W Johnstone, Ralph Compton, J R Roberts - The Gunsmith series, Jon Sharpe - The Trailsman series ). When I read his last book, Crow Creek Crossing, I sent him an e-mail with a link to my Amazon review, and within hours on the same day, he sent me back a reply:" Thank you so very much for the fantastic review of Crow Creek Crossing. I'm so glad that you thought to send it to me. I didn't expect to see a review of this book so soon, so I was absolutely blown away by your

As they try to turn the army and townspeople against him, Clint may find himself fighting against the very men whose lives he just saved….. So when Sioux raiders descend on Yellowstone Valley, threatening not only the livestock, but also the locals, it’s no surprise when Clint goes above and beyond to protect his folk and his livelihood—joining with soldiers from neighboring Fort Keogh to hunt the Sioux down. But while most people are impressed with Clint’s tracking skills and gunwork, not everyone is singing his praises. They want him out of commission—for good. The crooked lawmen from the nearby town of Miles City have an agenda of their own, and Clint stands in the way. No good deed goes unpunished… Clint Cooper, the easy-going foreman of the Double-V-Bar Ranch, expects little in return for his labor other than the satisfaction of a hard day’s work
