The historical aspects along with the heroine and other characters have kept me interested from the first few pages. I keep thinking what a great film this will be. Can't wait for the movie and Catron's next novel.Looks like it's the author's first book. []. Masterful Storytellinga Must Read I blame author, Derek Catron, for my late nights as I couldn't put down this book. From the breathtaking descriptions of a journey west via wagon train to the intimate moments of two people discovering a love for one another, this novel has it all. Not only does this book capture the great American spirit of seeking a new destiny, it also allows the reader to feel something for the characters who are vulnerable, witty, sarcastic, and true to themselves. The character development is truly remarkable - it shows Catron's commitment to create characters that are relatable and believable. I can't wait for the next novel.have to know what
