I wanted a good book for my collection that I will be able to read again.The second book is falling apart but I'm trying to read it anyway. Louis L'Amour was a wonderful author . The copies of this book that I have received are not worth keeping. They were not at all as described.. "The Sacketts, Vol 1" according to Richarda. This was a remarkable series (at least my first in the series). I did not know I'd like Western at all until a friend of mine offered me this book. Experience the drama of classic Western fiction and you won't be disappointed. I now HAVE to take on Vol. 2 in the series as I really want to know what is next. I can see how L'Amour was a significant writer of the genre. He certainly did his research and has the flair of the real West.. The Sacketts Vol. 1 Well not sure what to say about a book. The only thing I wish is it would have been in paperback as all of my Louis L'amour books. This could be my error for not reading all the info about this volume. As usual all the items I have ordered from Amazon have gotten here quickly and in good shape. I will be ordering more books from Amazon.
