Years later I found out it was Alan Alda and the sheriff was Will Geer. Finding the actual book when I was looking for reading material cor my Kindle, was something I was looking forward to reading. While it's an interesting book and moves along at a quick paceit just seems to be missing something. It's more like a news report about a few d. Five Stars Good story. Good dialog. The basis for several later (maybe earlier written) other works.. "Four Stars" according to Jan R Moore. Good one by Leonard.
