James C. Vance said This novel reveals Hopi beliefs. This is a well written novel that is fast paced and technically accurate. It is based upon Indian beliefs that are not normally shared with Caucasians. I have been a student of Indian myths and beliefs for many years, and this book is a good compendium that proves we whites do not understand the basis for many of the beliefs that are the basis for the Indians' respec. One of my favorites J. C. Lory This is the third time I've read this book. It never gets old. I wish someone would make a movie, it is a great storyline.. James H.
