My students appreciate the fact that besides the constitution itself, it also contains supplemental information explaining elements of the constitution in easy to understand language. This is a must have for every home bookshelf and school library.. "A great summary of our Constitution in its historical context" according to AZ. A very good short history of our constitution and easy to read. No excessive details, but enough so that you know all the sides of an issue or process. The author describes the tradeoffs involved, the critical timing of the document, and the efforts to make a constitution that would be long-lasting and adaptable as opposed to a long "laws list" that would soon be discarded. I was amazed to learn that many constitutions last fewer than 20 years. I have greater respect for our Founding Fath
