Bob said Simply a good yarn.. Nicely paced and difficult to put down. No wasted motion or gratuitous text to detract from the pace.Well done.. "W. E. B. Griffin" according to Kindle Customer. I currently own every one of Mr. Griffin's novels. They come in about six series. This book and one other were needed to complete the set. I enjoy all of his books, but I am not sure where to rate some of them. I will say my favorite is the Badge of Honor Series about the Philadelphia Police Department (Currently an eight novel series). But right up there is hi. "A good read!" according to Bo's Ken. A good read. What I would expect from WEB Griffin.

From Publishers Weekly This police procedural, the second in the Badge of Honor series, ostensibly concerns efforts to nab a serial rapist at large in Philadelphia, but the real subjects here are the interior lives of police officers and the department politics that complicate their jobs. Copyright 1989 Reed Business Information, Inc. . Unlike the genre's often embittered flatfoots who are more like their quarry than the people they serve, Dugan's ( Men in Blue ) cops, zealous recruits in the freshly minted Special Operations division, are boyish, sexy, respectful, and always and unambiguously the good guys. The plot contains practically no overt violence or graphic sex--usually the stock-in-trade of contemporary cops-and-robbers yarns--and chief characters are credibly fashioned. Pleasant enough on its own terms, the book lacks the meticulous detail and shake-'em-up style that most procedural fans expect
