I went through Scalp Mountain in one night, not because I am a fast reader (I am not) but because I could not go to bed before I found out the ending. I predict that this novel will shortly find a home among other Old West classics. The author is clearly an expert with the w. A story that kept drawing me back in James Paddock Not being a big fan of the western genre, I was unsure about Scalp Mountain. Once into it I found myself reading later than usual, even picking it up during the day, which I very seldom do.
