As with all anthologies, some stories shine, while others seem a bit lacking. However, this book showcases such a variety of voices and ideas it would seem near-impossible for anyone to not read it and fall in love with something. Some stories of note include:"Darkly Dreaming in Black Waters" by Jason Andrew = One of my favorites in this anthology. A WWII naval tale . "LOVED IT!!!" according to Kingzgrrl. I admit, I was only going to drop by Night Terrors II for a few quick minutes of submission research reading: preview, read, and run. As a diehard horror fan, I often despair I've seen and heard it all, not to mention the fact that--to me, at least, an unapologetic grammar/craft pedant--the quality of many horror anthologies is often hit-or-miss.Bottom line? I wasn't *not* expecting anything, but I wasn't *expecting* anything, eitherbut, by the time I'd finished blazing through full previews by Desmond Warzel, John Peters, and the maddeningly taunting half-p
