He tells me these are the perfect escape books for people who are either incarcerated or perhaps disabled or elderly. The action is fast-paced and the descriptions of the Western frontier are authentically. "The Kindle copy is awful!" according to Amazon Customer. I've read the paperback version of this book, and I loved it, so when i had a chance to get it for Kindle I did. The spelling is pitiful, sentences begin and end in the middle, and unless my memory is very faulty, there's bits of it missing. I have other William Johnstone books downloaded to my app, and they're correct. Why Amazon let this one slip through in such poor shape is beyond me.. "Another good one" according to TBail. Very enjoyable and graphic reading. The typos drove me crazy but that's on the editor and publisher. Western justice was harsh and brutal but it was just. Thanks Mr Johnstone for immortalizing an era that was as sweet and simple as it was cold and hard.
