This first book, based on fact, in the series tells the reader about John Henry Holliday from the time he was a young boy to when he leaves for Texas as a young man. We learn about his love for his cousin Mattie. He wants to marry her. Inheritance P. Woodland I knew next to nothing about Doc (John Henry) Holliday until I read last year's fantastic book Doc by Mary Doria Russell.
