Whenever I'm craving a refreshing read - I go to the Elmore Leonard westerns. I'm never let down. If you've never read them, read them. If you have read them, read them again. Amazing that they were written between the 50's and into the 7. Ho Hum This was my first introduction to this author, and frankly, I was disappointed. I thought that the plot was rather simple but presented in a somewhat disjointed way. It was a book that I did NOT have trouble putting down.. "Cowboy Cool" according to S. Townsend. Elmore Leonard is a very good story teller, much like his mentor, Ernest Hemingway. This is an excellent story, quick, clean and very cinematic. If you like westerns, get it.
