Douglas J. Thompson said Tim Curran's version of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this western by Tim Curran. I have read virtually all his books and love his horror novels, but was pleasantly surprised how good he is a writing westerns. The characters in this novel drive this tale of revenge. From the protagonist Nathan Partridge a gunslinger/outlaw that you will enjoy rooting for to the truly evil and despicable bounty hunters, each character is fleshed out well. I really felt I was experiencing t. Very good read Great book. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a good western novel. Fast read, very tight with good action.. "Best of the Curran Westerns" according to Toasted Cheese. I really enjoyed this one. It was strictly a revenge/redemption story with no supernatural aspects, but it was quite good. Better than Skin Medicine in my opinion (though honestly, with a little work, the two books could have been merged). Don't worry, though, there are plenty of Curran-style bad guys doing horrible things, and plenty of on-screen violence. If you liked Skin Medicine and/or Skull Moon, you'll almost certainly enjoy this one, as
