Janice said Must-read story about getting anti-science stickers removed from science textbooks in Cobb County, GA.. What an excellent book by Americans United chapter leader Jeffrey Selman. He chronicles his tale about anti-science stickers placed in science textbooks by the Cobb County (Georgia) school board. This is an amazing story! What a tragedy to see uneducated people make misinformed statements about scientific books and materials. Selman takes us through his journey to get the anti-science stickers removed, upholding the First Amendment's separation of church and state, and supporting factual science education in public schools.. Great book, worth a read for anyone on either side of the debate. Bill Sims I've known Jeff for many years now, and we worked together while the fight with Cobb was transpiring. We have had many philosophical discussions about this topic and many others. Jeff is the real deal. He is thoroughly informed and has done the reading and research in able to back up his beliefs. This is something that I admire greatly. We don't always see eye-to-eye, but never has he been judgmental when we disagreed. One of his biggest pet peeves is for someone to try and force their beliefs on another. I would agree with him on that. Influencing others towards. Inspirational Mr Selman is a hero in the fight to maintain The Separation of Church and State. His story is inspiring and compelling. He stood up to the Christian right and their bullying tactics. Even though he was attacked and threatened he stood his ground and didn't back down from the fight. For anyone that ever thought they wanted to be a voice for any issue,Mr Selmans story is a blueprint on how to handle the ramifications of speaking up and out.The USA needs more Jeffrey Selmans now more than ever.
