From Booklist Kilpatrick has done a first-class job of selecting and editing 23 stories and 1 poem of the undead, all by Canadian writers. Excellent work all around. --Frieda Murray . Her introduction is an informative summary of the development of vampires in popular entertainment, and the stories themselves are vignettes of vampires in the early-twenty-first century. The backgrounds and characters vary, but all the writing is of very high quality. The authors include Rebecca Bradley, Tanya Huff, Steve Vernon, Michael Skeet, and Claude Bulduc (whose story is translated from the French)
fantasy lover said great anthology - read it twice.. Really enjoyed the many different styles of writing in this book. Fantastic authors in their element in this genre. If you enjoy the many different takes on vampires from fluff to gore, a great read to sink your teeth into.. New twist on an old genre June Vigil Nancy Kilpatrick collected quite a smorgasbord of Canadian authors for a short story anthology of evolved vampires. Tired of the same old, bite, try this group for a different taste. Quite enjoyable.. Vamp lover! bookworm36 I enjoyed the majority of the stories in this anthology. There were a few that left me baffled. But I would recommend this book to anyone that is a lover of vampires
