Daniels starts us off with a bang when hero Austin Cardwell rescues a woman during a blizzard and even though he gets her to the safety of the hospital, Austin knows that something is off and when weak and injured Rebecca Stewart appears terrified of the man who shows up claiming to be her husband he feels compelled to follow through and learn as much as he can before he lets her go for good. The story starts off strong with a suspenseful edge but unfortunately dampers down a little bit from there.The author does an excellent job of painting the scenery and capturing the emotions and feelings of each of the characters.
