Con Law was not my favorite class, and the number of footnotes in the casebook was extensive compared to other 1L textbooks. I wouldâ recommend some sort of supplemental unles. Shoe Gal said con law. Could Chemerinsky have written a bigger and heavier book (probably). Coming from a person that hated their first con law class, for my second con law class that focuses on civil rights, this book actually does a great job of prefacing cases and pointing out the important factors before throwing you into the case.. It's big because it's Chemerinsky in a book addictEd After taking this class with Chemerinsky and, surprise surprise, using this book (he swears he donates the royalties for his Con. Law classes back to the school because he feels bad for assigning his book), I can honestly say that you're really getting Chemerinsky's mind distilled into book format.Chemerinsky is a great professor and teacher, and that's reflected in the book.
