To me, WWII on the Eastern Front was just too murky, a bleak and incomprehensible conflict between socialists and faci. An excellent novel about a sniper duel in WWII Stalingrad. If you like wartime novels this is a book for you. You will want read it straight through, but you won't want it to end.
