Of all the ways people have lived and do live in the history of Earth, technological civilization is only one of them. This book strongly argues that those who consider themselves "modern" or "civilized" do not have any claim over the lives or land of peoples who live differently. Not being a book reviewer, I won't go on at length, but I recommend the book to anyone who has thought about the question of how different groups can live on the same planet.
