Mr Lamour has been my favorite author since I was a young teenager. And though college, the military and grad school that never changed. He wrote simply but honestly. I wish I had met him. I've read some history about the feuding Sacketts. Although fiction I still love the Sackett books the best.. Entertaining Read In my opinion one of the more interesting of L'Amour's books. Yes, a standard plot, standard bad guys but the man was a genius at combining standard tropes into an interesting read.
