An entertaining collection Andrew M. Seddon An entertaining collection of 10 stories about Fr. Capranica, a "pilgrim" through time who has a knack of being able to solve unusual mysteries with a supernatural bent. The stories take us from the year 433 to the present time; from St. Patrick to Alice Cooper. Most of the stories have a 'twist' at the end, and are based in folklore and mythology - featuring such figures as the huldra and the fir gortha . Fr. Capranica presents spritual wisdom from a Catholic perspective.While I would have liked a little more description, and some of the stories seem a lit pat at times, overal. Stories reminiscent of the X-Files with a deeper layer. I had recently positively reviewed Fr. Mike Driscol’s Demons, Deliverance, Discernment : Separating Fact from Fiction about the Spirit World. So when I found that he also recently released a novel I was intrigued.
