"Excellent Read" according to Mel Bloomfield. Excellent read that is on par with Lonesome Dove. Very well researched and written about life post civil war on the Texas frontier. His character development is superb. Buy it!. I really liked this book hds in austin First, in the interest of full-disclosure, I was in school with the author for several years; we were good friends. But, I have not been in touch with him for several years - no bribes were offered in exchange for this review. I found Tom's book to be a grabber. I read it until past midn.
