Together with the later ratified Americans with Disabilities Act and with preceding Civil Right Acts in 1957 and 1960, this piece of legislation may well be considered the most important document to preservation of Americans' liberty after the Bill of Rights; the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments; and the 19th amendment.
