Fan LastCoonassStanding Having read Chizmar's picks, this may or may not disappoint those in search of psychological horror. The 7th is not as good as what came before, but what is? There are better short horror anthologies out there, but once a fan of Chizmar, always a fan of Chizmar and if not for Chizmar there would have been no discovery of Bently Little, one of the finest writers of psychological horror topped only by Koontz.. Kevin Lucia said Excellent Collection. I'm about halfway through this, and it's fabulous. In the middle of a story by Graham Masterton called "Beholder" in which a disfigured little girl who's been sheltered by her mother learns of her true appearance, and because her mother has always told her "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" she believes everyone who has looked at her has stolen her beauty, so now she has a pair of scissors, and she wants her beauty back. This probably won't end well.Anyway, pre-order this. What a great horror story!" They were well-written stories, don't get me wrong, just average. There was rampant comma misuse, improper capitalization following dialogue, and a myriad of other grammatical problems throughout. Also, in one story, there is a character named Cheryl Ann, and at one point in the story she is referred to as Carol Ann - and it is not an intentional error, there is not a character getting her name wrong or anything, it is just incorrectly typed. . stars if it had been edited better.
