This collection of zombie stories set in 1968 when the modern zombie craze started with Night of the Living Dead, contains a diverse backdrop of people and places for the tragedies and heroism of those struggling to survive the unrelenting tide of the rising dead. There is a classic Rich Bottles Jr. comedy in FELICITY MARMADUKE REDUX and the most unique take on the zombie story I have ever seen or read in Douglas Brode’s THE MORNING AFTER. There are a total of 17 fast paced and fascinating glimpses of the desperation to survive or find meaning in death through the differe. "Mostly good stuff" according to CodeZombie. I really enjoyed most of the stories in this collection except for one titled "Felicity Marmaduke Redux" which I found to be in extremely poor taste and offensive (and I don't get offended easily) and it just really didn't belong with the rest of the stories. The rest of the stories do a good job of telling what happened in other places around the same time as the events in the original "Night of the Living Dead" back in 1968.. Entertaining It was highly entertaining. The first horror movie I ever saw was Night of the Living Dead. So maybe I'm biased.
