First off, sadly this series has come to an Donald Hunt First off, sadly this series has come to an end, as it has beenin publication for many years, and readers have drifted away.I have made it a "bucket list" item, to read all 400+ books in theseries, and review them all.So, on to the bookDeputy Marshal Custis Long is sent toSpringfield Missouri, to help another Marshal stop a moonshineproblem in his district.2 ladies, a side paddlewheel boat ride, 2 ambushes, and an attemptedrobbery, plus a nasty meeting with Marshal Jason Bartlett, later, DeputyLong is finally after the ill. A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT Mr. Evans seems to have lost his touch with the Longarm series. I was very disappointed with this one It was a very predictable read. I don't think that I will be purchasing any more from Evans. Very poor read.. Nice, editor read this one, finally. The author did an outstanding job with this read. The Whiskey Runners was a tale a very good read.I only found a couple of real words in the wrong spot. No doubt the proof reader can spot a squiggly red line under a misspelled word. T bad the editor
