Along the way are many interesting characters. A Dr a woman, Mexican soldiers, other detectives, a combitation of several people. All add up to a good story. There are many funny lines. As ususal Sam plods along trying to get his man. There is plenty of action, if you think it is slowing down just turn a page or two and it is going again. You a. Makes you feel the emotions if the players, question your own morals, kind of 'What would be my decision. Good addition to the Ranger series..
