I usually use this series and while it may not work for every class it certainly helped me for this one. Although I didn't like that they split the class into two books, seemed like a waste of money to me. Would much rather have it as one book.. Not your usual E&E. Disappointing. Although I didn't like that they split the class into two books, seemed like a waste of money to me. Would much rather have it as one book.. Not your usual E&E. Disappointing. Steven Gauck I'm a fan of the E&E series, but this one is more like a hornbook than an E&E. The authors spend a fair amount of time discussing the historical contexts of the various legal principles and they include a lot of commentary and observations, stuff that usually doesn't get extensively tested on finals, if at all. Those are well and good and probably instructive if I were reading it to learn Constitutional Law from scratch, but they're not helpful as a study ai. T said Pretty decent for most of it. Pretty decent for most of it. Like someone else said, it is less formal than other E&E's which means it takes longer to get what you want out of it. It is probably impossible to avoid this in Con Law though. The author's liberal shines through (he starts saying the law is "clearly" like this, or simply incorrect, etc.) a bit hard in the Substantive Due Process part which gets a bit annoying.
