I actually got it from the library by accident. I requested a different book and this one was sent to be in error. But since I had it, I figured I might as well check it out. The subtitle is "A Collection of Horror and Suspense by Black Writers". I'm a white female, but I said "why not?"First of all, this book is a misnomer. Although the editor, Brandon Massey, did a good job describing what horror IS and is NOT and what suspense IS and is NOT in the introduction, most of the stories themselves did not "chill or grip" . Amazon Customer said Not what I'd hoped or expected. There were some interesting and macabre tales in this book, but not as suspenseful or horrorfying as I'd like, except 'Plaything', which I could not listen to all the way thru. The end, the climax was probably the part I should have skipped, nevertheless, I wondered was the author trying . CDs, took me a little over a week with my regular daily travelling.
