Interesting Story GLM An interesting story depicting the old west from a different vantage point - the one through the eyes of a naive young man. An easy read this book will not take weeks to finish. Enjoy it is worth the effort.. years and Cow Creek is one of the very best books I have ever read Carol I have been an avid reader for many years and Cow Creek is one of the very best books I have ever read. It's a wonderful "coming of age" story and a perfect example of how sometimes our plans and dreams don't always turn out; in fact, they can become nightmares. Richard Gehrman's descriptions of the scenery, characters, details of the work on the ranch, and life on a small family farm make this a beaut. "His adventure is a wonderfully descriptive trip that is a pleasure to follow" according to MIKE G.. Mr. Gehrman tells a charming, picturesque and very believable tale in Cow Creek. The main character is well developed and endearing. His young naïve voice is both familiar and as foreign as you would expect it to be given his time and place in history. His ignorance garners sympathy and his honesty is humbling. His adventure is a wonderfully descriptive trip that is a pleasure to follow.
